Marvellous music, fabulous food, superb singing and great entertainment are promised for a winter’s afternoon at Downham Methodist Church.

So if all that appeals, head for the church on Sunday, February 1, for a “Teatime Serenade” by Coro Stellante.

Following the sell-out success of last February’s Teatime Romance event in Downham, Coro Stellante return to nostalgia with this concert.

The acclaimed ladies’ choir promise another evening of total indulgence down memory lane with some of the best tunes of the 1930s, the wartime years and the 1950s.

Tunes such as Over The Rainbow, The Continental, That Lovely Weekend, I’m Gonna Wash That Man, In A Monastery Garden, L’Hymne a l’Amour (Edith Piaf), April Love (Pat Boone), Loving You, Isn’t This a Lovely Day, Berkeley Square and In The Mood (Glen Miller) will be sung in special arrangements for ladies choir, and will be accompanied on piano, drums and double bass.

Tickets are £10 to include pre-concert tea and delicious home-made cake to be served at 4pm; the concert is at 5 pm.

Tickets can be purchased from or by phoning 01485 579100. The ladies are looking forward to another full house so recommend early booking.
