A West Norfolk playgroup is celebrating after education inspectors praised staff for maintaining high standards in all areas.
Snettisham Bobtails has been rated as ‘good’ by Ofsted following its latest inspection last month.
The group’s last inspection was carried out seven years ago, when it was also judged as ‘good’.
In a report, published last week, inspectors said staff deliver good quality teaching and demonstate skill in knowing when to intervene in children’s play and when to let them explore independently.
“Children become inquisitive learners, who are well prepared for school,” it said.
Relationships with children and their parents are effective and help ensure children’s needs are met. Youngsters also settle well, and “play together harmoniously”.
The only area singled out for development is to improve specific training needs for staff in order to enhance the provision for children and “raise the quality and breadth of teaching to outstanding”.
