Old post office delivers warm service in Ingoldisthorpe
A warming cuppa was the community service provided on Sunday afternoon at the Old Post Office in Ingoldisthorpe.
Jennifer Shah invited villagers round for some mince pies and mulled hot drinks to get people in to the festive spirit.
The process of making her premises in to a hub to deliver community get-togethers is on the cards.
Jennifer Shah said: "It was reasonably well attended by a variety of different people from the village.
"Younger people went in to the dome where it was super cosy.
"I can see the benefits of a hub on a day like today where it is cold and wet and people just sit inside.
"The garden room was full and we were standing under the gazebo and the WI made £20 from their mince pies.
"Michael Ward played Christmas tunes on the piano."
The process of making the property in to a community hub is on -going.
Jennifer said: "I am still going to press ahead and have applied for funding.
"I have started a business development course called Bedroom to Business.
"MENTA are running an 8-week course and it is really making me go for it."
