Outdoor learning at Fakenham Infant School and Nursery in 2012

Forays into the great outdoors were a daily occurrence for pupils at Fakenham Infant School and Nursery in October 2012.

Head teacher Yvonne Parker-Beeson, who had been in post for nearly four years, said: “We encourage outdoor learning as much as we can all the way through school.”

There was a wildlife area where forest school-style learning took place and the youngest pupils’ areas were undercover, with grassed and hard-surface areas also provided outside.
