Overnight road closure on Gayton’s Lynn Road for five nights during resurfacing work

Overnight work is set to take place in a village for resurfacing, leaving a road closed.

Starting on Monday, January 22, the B1145 Gayton Lynn Road – from the 30mph village gateway east through the village to Church Terrace Cottage, which includes the junctions with B1153 and Back Street – will be closed throughout each night for road resurfacing.

The work is expected to take five nights to complete, subject to suitable weather conditions.

Fully signed diversion routes will be in operation for the duration of the works from 8pm-6am each night.

Access to properties within the closure zone will be maintained.

The team will work to ensure the noisiest work will be complete before 11pm each night.

Norfolk County Council has thanked people for their patience while this surface improvement work is carried out.

The work, which will cost £153,000, will be carried out by the council’s community and environmental services department and its contractors.
