West Norfolk parish clerk receives medal honour

A West Norfolk parish clerk has received a British Empire Medal (BEM) for serving her community for more than half a century.
Janet Lake, of Brancaster parish council, was presented with the medal by the Lord-Lieutenant for Norfolk, Richard Jewson, at a ceremony in Norwich last week.
Mrs Lake took on the role as clerk in 1966 and was the guest of honour at a reception to mark 50 years in 2016.
She is pictured with Mr Jewson and other BEM recipients.
