Short-eared owls photographed in flight at Welney Wetland Centre in Norfolk

Wildlife photographer Mark Hunter captured active short-eared owls at the Welney Wetland Centre in Norfolk on Friday (2 Dec).

He says: "As the weather turns colder short-eared owls are migrating to spend the winter in lowland areas of the UK."

He added: "I travelled from home in Oxfordshire to Norfolk hoping to photograph these seasonal visitors and after waiting for several hours was excited to see this pair flying together and interacting as the mist lifted."
