Paul Weller to perform Thetford Forest show in 2019
One of the biggest stars in British music over the past four decades will perform in Thetford Forest next summer.
Paul Weller is the first act to be announced for the 2019 Forest Live series of gigs, promoted by the Forestry Commission.
Tickets for the show, which will take place on Friday, June 21, go on sale later this week.
Paul, who has enjoyed success with The Jam and The Style Council as well as a solo artist during a career of more than 40 years. His latest release, True Meanings, entered the UK charts at No 2.
He last played a Forest Live show in 2014 and said: “The Forest shows are always great gigs for us and it’s been a while since I last did them so I’m really looking forward to them next year.”
Funds raised from the Forest Live ticket sales are used to maintain the nation’s forests sustainably, for people to enjoy and wildlife to thrive.
