Pedestrian suffers serious injuries after collision with coach in Heacham




A pedestrian has suffered serious head and chest injuries following a collision with a coach in Heacham yesterday (Sunday, August 19).

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at about 10.45am.

Officers say a white Volvo coach, which was travelling along the A149 from Heacham towards Hunstanton, and a pedestrian were in collision, after which the male pedestrian suffered serious head and chest injuries and was airlifted to Cambridge's Addenbrooke's Hospital for treatment, where he remains.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended, but re-opened shortly after 3pm.

Officers want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident prior to the collision or has dash-cam footage of the incident.
