Campaigners from the Pension Action in Norfolk (PAIN) group, part of the national campaign WASPI (Women Against State Pension Inequality), were in town last week to promote their cause.

They are taking action against the acceleration in the state pension age for women born in the 1950’s who have to wait for up to six more years before they can receive their state pension.

They are asking the government to consider transitional arrangments.

North West Norfolk MP Henry Bellingham is supporting the campaign and has agreed to meet with his constituents who are affected at a special surgery on a date to be arranged.
