Person dies after incident on West Norfolk rail line
Police have confirmed that a person has died in an incident which forced the suspension of train services to and from West Norfolk this afternoon.
The section of track between Downham and Ely is set to re-open shortly following the incident near Littleport earlier.
Emergency crews were called at around 1.20pm today following reports of a casualty on the track.
A British Transport Police spokesman confirmed a short time ago that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene and efforts to identify them were underway.
Replacement buses have been running during the suspension, while a shuttle train service was also set up between Lynn and Downham.
