LEARN MOREAn Ickburgh petrol station has been targeted by armed robbers for the second time in just over a week, prompting another police appeal for information.
Officers were called shortly before 6.55pm yesterday, after two men wearing face coverings entered the petrol station in Swaffham Road and threatened two shop workers with a knife. The suspects made off with cash and cigarettes.
This follows a similar incident at the same location shortly after 3.10pm on July 20, when a man threatened a shop worker with a knife and stole cash and cigarettes. He left in the direction of Ashburton Road.
Although the investigation is at an early stage, officers believe the two incidents are linked.
Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the immediate area yesterday is asked to contact DC Christine Copeman at Swaffham CID on 101 quoting investigation number 36/57856/22.
Officers are also keen to hear from motorists in the area at the time who may have dashcam footage.
