A consultation has been launched on plans to move Necton’s post office to a new site.
Plans have been drawn up to switch the service from its current home in Chantry Court to the Necton Stores site in Hale Road, which officials say will provide far longer opening times.
And residents are being invited to have their say on the proposal.
The scheme, which the company says has been developed with the agreement of the current postmaster, will mean villagers can access postal services seven days a week.
Will Russell, the Post Office’s regional network manager, said: “We are confident that this new modern branch will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”
