Residents could be getting a new village hall if new plans are given the green light.
Dersingham Parish Council has applied to demolish the hall in Manor Road and replace it with a new building.
A planning application, which includes external works to car park and landscaping, has been submitted to West Norfolk Council earlier this week.
The application said: “The village hall steering committee of Dersingham Parish Council have completed an options appraisal as part of their feasibility and applications for lottery funding.
“It was found that conversion or refurbishment of the existing hall was not economically viable. It would also require a compromised layout that would not suit the target user groups.
“The options appraisal confirmed that demolition of the existing hall and construction of a new hall in approximately the same location would be considerably better both financially and in providing the necessary accommodation.”
