Developers have unveiled plans for 650 new homes in the Knights Hill area of Lynn.

Camland Developments Ltd are proposing the development of a 35 hectare site west of the A149 Queen Elizabeth Way and south of Grimston Road, South Wootton.

The project includes a plan to build a new roundabout on Grimston Road, plus improved walking and cycling links.

Managers say the project will create jobs and new facilities for the area and insist suitable infrastructure will be in place to support the project.

A public exhibition of the scheme will take place at the Knights Hill Hotel on Thursday, February 4, between 3 and 7pm.

And the company is calling for local people to have their say on the plans.

A statement on a website set up to promote the scheme,, said: “We are keen to hear people’s views about our proposals before we submit an outline planning application to the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.”

The company has asked for comments to be submitted by Friday, February 19.

The area has been earmarked for hundreds of new homes as part of West Norfolk Council’s local development framework, which is currently being assessed.
