James Wild appointed as Shadow Minister in education department by Rishi Sunak
North West Norfolk MP James Wild has been appointed as a Shadow Minister by Rishi Sunak.
Mr Sunak, the former Prime Minister and now the Leader of the Opposition, has appointed Mr Wild as a minister in the Shadow Department for Education.
This follows his re-election as the MP for North West Norfolk earlier this month.
Mr Wild said: “I am pleased to have been appointed as a Shadow Minister in the education team.
“Education is key to giving young people the best opportunity to realise their potential and that’s why I have prioritised it as a MP including visiting over 40 schools, pushing for better special needs provision, and improving local training opportunities.
“I look forward to working with the Shadow Secretary of State, Damian Hinds MP and the shadow team to hold the Government to account and build on the successes of the last Conservative government’s education reforms.”
Mr Wild’s previous parliamentary roles have seen him act as a Senior Special Adviser to the Prime Minister and as a Minister for the Cabinet Office.
