Witnesses are being sought after several vehicles had bricks thrown at them on a Swaffham road last night.

Police say six cars were damaged in the incident on the A1065 on Wednesday evening, in which a group of young people were reported to be throwing objects from an overpass.

A total of seven calls were made to police between 6.38pm and 7.23pm. Witnesses also reported lights being shone at drivers.

Breckland engagement officer Paula Gilluley said: "Anti-social behaviour and crime as dangerous as this could have had fatal consequences and we won't tolerate it.

"We will continue to work with our partner agencies and deal robustly with any people identified as being involved in last night's incidents.”

Hayley Ladley, whose car window was smashed, said a brick was thrown at her vehicle.

"This has happened too many times. I had my kids in the car and that's not fair. Why should they keep getting away with it?" she said.
