Police appeal after Easter vandalism spree

Motorists in Downham are counting the cost after a vandalism spree in the town.

A series of vehicles were damaged over the Easter weekend and police have put out an appeal for more information.

Eight incidents were reported to have taken place overnight between Saturday and Monday.

The incidents are reported to have happened in Snape Lane, Town Estate, Elizabeth Avenue, Porter Street, Nelson Avenue, Beech Road and Railway Road.

Owners have reported damage to window panels, wing mirrors and the bodywork of some vehicles.

Vandals damaged in the spree include a Renault Megane, Ford Fiesta, Ford KA, Hyundai hatchback, Renault Grand Scenic and a Mazda 3TS.

Officers are appealing for information.
