Police appeal following £50k raid on Downham building site

LEARN MOREWitnesses are being sought after equipment, said to be worth around £50,000, was stolen from a West Norfolk building site this week.
Police say the raid on the site in Bexwell Road, Downham, was discovered early yesterday morning.
Raiders are believed to have smashed through the front fence to gain entry to the site sometime between 6pm on Monday and 6.45am on Tuesday.
A Norfolk Police spokesman said that, once inside, they stole a fuel tank containing around 2,000 litres of diesel, two air conditioning units and a "large amount of heavy-duty hand tools".
