Police called to King's Lynn home over party claims

Police were called to a house in Lynn following claims that an unlawful party was taking place there.

Residents at the property in Sandpiper Way were spoken to about noise levels, though officers say no breaches of the current coronavirus lockdown rules were identified.

Officers were alerted at around 10pm on Friday following reports suggesting an unlawful gathering may be taking place at the premises.

One message to the Lynn News also claimed a gathering had been shut down.

But a Norfolk Police spokesman said: “Officers attended the address and after speaking to residents, no Covid regulation breaches were identified.

“Householders, who were playing music, were given advice about noise levels.”

Many forces have issued fines for similar activities in other parts of the country.
