Lesley Page: Police continue enquiries to establish circumstances of Emneth woman's death

Police have said they are continuing enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding a woman’s death in Emneth last week.

Officers were called to Lady’s Drove shortly before 7.30am on Monday, September 11, following a report that the body of a woman in her 60s had been found at a property there.

A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to Lynn’s Police Investigation Centre for questioning before being released under investigation on Wednesday while enquiries continued.

The woman was identified as 65-year-old Lesley Page, and provisional results of a Home Office post-mortem examination showed the cause of her death was gunshot wounds to the torso.

Yesterday, officers confirmed that their enquiries to fully establish the circumstances of her death were ongoing.

Last week, senior investigating officer Alix Wright said: “We are still working to establish the circumstances that led to Mrs Page’s death.
