Have your say

Following the start of British Summer Time at the weekend, West Norfolk householders have been urged not to make it easy for would-be thieves to access their property.

Police chiefs say lighter evenings are often seen as opportunities by criminals.

And Chf Supt Mike Fawcett said: “Most thefts are carried out by opportunist criminals.

“The coming summer months can bring with them thieves on the look-out for lapses in security – such as doors and windows left open, bicycles poorly secured or property left on display at beauty spot car parks.”
