Police probe after man assaulted near Downham school

Witnesses are being sought after a man was reportedly punched in the face during an incident near a West Norfolk school this week.

Police say the incident happened on Bexwell Road, Downham, close to the Downham Market Academy, at around 3.20pm on Wednesday.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said today: "Following an altercation, the victim, a man in his 50s, was reported to have been assaulted by a small group of young teenage boys, resulting in a minor injury to his face."
