Alix Cooke’s Swaffham home searched by police - where they discovered two Class B drugs

Police who had reason to search a Swaffham house discovered quantities of two types of drugs at the address.

That house belonged to Alix Cooke, 42, who had cannabis and amphetamine inside of his property.

Cooke appeared at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday where he admitted to being in possession of the drugs.

Prosecutor Stephen Munton explained that on May 11, police attended Cooke’s home address on London Street and his house was searched.

Officers found 23.1g of cannabis and 2.8g of amphetamine, both Class B drugs.

Cooke admitted that the drugs belonged to him and that he spent around £180 on the cannabis and was “dependent” on the amphetamine.

In mitigation, Andrew Cogan explained that it was due to “police intelligence” that Cooke’s house was searched.

“He has a drug habit, that can’t be denied,” said Mr Cogan.

Cooke was fined £100 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40.
