Police seize weapons from Walton Highway house

An arsenal of weapons has been seized during a police operation in a West Norfolk village.

Officers are currently assessing the haul of weapons, which has been discovered at a house in Walton Highway, and no arrests have been made so far.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said this afternoon: "Police attended a property in Lynn Road in Walton Highway on Saturday 25 July following the discovery of numerous firearms.

"The property was sealed off while officers carried out a search and recovered the items which are currently being assessed to establish whether they are lawfully held."

One resident who contacted the Lynn News said there had been rumours circulating about the nature of the operation and it had been "a very worrying time" for the community.
