Police talking to clubs over fan trouble at Linnets' Super Play-off Final

Trouble at King's Lynn Town's Super Play-off Final last Saturday is being investigated by Cheshire Police.

The Linnets won the match at Warrington Town in extra-time, sealing promotion to the National League.

Insp Neil Drum told the Lynn News: “We are aware of footage online showing fans going on the pitch at Warrington Town FC and a cone being thrown. We are currently liaising with both clubs to identify any lines of enquiry.

“No arrests were made on the day and we received no reports of any assaults from members of the public.”
