Poll results: What you said on government making face masks compulsory in shops
Following the government's announcement of mandatory face coverings in shops from July 24, a reader's poll has shown you overwhelmingly agree with the decision.
In response to a question asking Lynn News readers whether you agree with the new government rule, 61 per cent of respondents said it was necessary in order to protect people.
Meanwhile, 39 per cent of readers disagreed with the government decision, believing a mask merely provides a false sense of security.
Under the new rules, those who fail to wear a face covering in shops and supermarkets from July 24 will be faced with a fine of up to £100.
