A spokesperson for The Warehouse said: “Unfortunately we are devastated to say that we have suffered a fire this evening.

“At this present time, we are unsure of the exact damage as whilst the fire is contained, the firemen are still working hard. We will update you as soon as we are in a position to do so.

“Obviously, it goes without saying, we will be closed for the foreseeable future.”

Crews from Lynn, Terrington and Downham arrived at the scene yesterday evening. They wore breathing apparatus and used main jets and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots.

Firefighters left the scene at 11.13pm.
