Hunstanton postcard competition winner announced

The winner of a competition to design a postcard about why they love Hunstanton so much has been announced.

Launched as an Easter competition in April by Artworks@The Town Hall, the entries were finalised and an overall winner was chosen.

Therefore it was a very important day for one local family in Hunstanton when Karen Lawrence found out she was the winner will have her drawing made into postcards.

These will be on sale at Artworks @theTown Hall from June onwards.

Karen chose the name of her postcard design as a fun day out and based her design on Hunstanton's Rainbow Park.

All profits from the sale of these postcards will be donated to Karen's chosen charity Diabetes UK.

Karen received her HobbyCraft gift voucher from Hunstanton town mayor Adrian Winnington, donated by Artworks.

Also getting in on the action was Karen's younger sister Lauren.

Runners up included Kate Chell Williams and Isabelle Lawrence.

Jackie Kitch from the Artworks said: "Thank you to everyone for entering the competition.

"Artworks @The Town Hall is open from Friday to Monday and daily during school holidays and sells works from local artists and skilled craftspeople."
