Ofsted praise for Marham Village Pre-school after ‘Good’ inspection
A West Norfolk pre-school has been praised in an Ofsted report after improving on its performance the year prior.
Marham Village Pre-school is celebrating a positive visit from the education watchdog in November, receiving a ‘Good’ rating in all areas one year after it was deemed to ‘require improvement’.
Chairperson Annette Hardy praised the hard work and dedication of the manager and her staff, with support from the early years team, in achieving this result.
Julie Walkey, the school manager, said: “It was wonderful to see that the report recognised the care and dedication of all the staff at the pre-school.
“The staff are committed to ensuring all the children achieve their very best and that relationships with families are at the centre of all they do.”
Ofsted inspectors particularly praised the pre-school for the way it works with children who have special educational needs or disabilities.
They also felt staff knew all the pupils well and, as a result, the children are “happy and safe in a caring and nurturing environment”.
The pre-school is based on Cherry Tree Academy premises, so is therefore able to work closely with the high school to enable youngsters to make an easier and less daunting transition.
