While the eyes of dog lovers everywhere were focused on Crufts this week, The Walks in the heart of Lynn, had its own canine happening.
The park played host to a charity walk on Sunday in aid of the Muffin Pug Rescue group (MPR)
MPR is a nationwide charity dedicated to rescuing pugs and pug-crosses from all over the UK.
The goal of MPR is to “rescue stray, abused and neglected pugs and rehabilitate and rehome them,” said Natasha Balfe, a volunteer at the group.
The walk, which lasted about an hour and involved many rescued pugs and their owners – its Fairy PugMothers – raised a grand total of £422.50 for the charity.
The money will be used to pay for the upkeep of rescued pugs and pug breeds, which, according to Miss Balfe, consists mostly of “daily vet bills”.
