Fakenham pupils create Coronation art trail

Children at Fakenham Infant and Nursery School have created an art trail around their town to celebrate the coronation of the new king.

Pupils made posters and pictures of all different varieties, including King Charles’ head profile decorated with red, white and blue and a big celebration board made of an array of paper flowers.

Town shops agreed to display the work in their windows, including J & D Papworth Butchers, Gatsby's Barbers, Flour & Bean, The Original Factory Shop, Scent with Love florist, Central Cinema, Taylors Coffee shop, Drifters fish and chips and the library.

Emma Cobb, a teacher at the school, said: “Fakenham has such wonderful community spirit and everyone is friendly and willing to support the two schools

“I had the idea to carry out an art project for the Coronation and join in with local celebrations in the town.

“My hope was to bring the community together through the arts while celebrating with big town celebrations for King Charles.”
