Children at Walpole Cross Keys Primary School get in the festive spirit by taking part in Christmas jumper day
Party celebrations have commenced at primary schools in West Norfolk as they edge closer to the end of the winter half term.
Getting into the festive period, pupils at Walpole Cross Keys Primary School dressed in seasonal knitwear while enjoying a Christmas lunch together.
To add a creative twist to the Christmas Jumper Day celebration, the children also made their own seasonal place mats and table decorations for the meal.
Assistant head teacher at the school, which is part of the West Norfolk Academies Trust, Billy Overton said: “We don’t usually charge for Christmas Jumper Day, so were not raising money this time.
“It just helps everyone get into the Christmas spirit and share a bit of time together at the end of a long and busy time.
“It’s a great day – all of the staff get involved in serving food and party along with the children while they have their Christmas lunch.”
The other schools in the trust also took part in Christmas Jumper Day last Thursday included Marshland High School, Smithdon High School, Springwood High School, and Clenchwarton Primary.
