Swaffham pupils receive books of their own from Barratt Homes builders
Pupils at Heartwood CE VC Primary School have received a book of their own on World Book Day.
The school is close to the Ceres Rise development in Swaffham and pupils received a number of reading books from Barratt Homes to support them with independent reading.
Books donated by the company include Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll and Mister Mistoffelees by TS Elliot.
Rebecca Starman, deputy headteacher at Heartwood Primary School, said: “We are so grateful to Barratt Homes for the books that it has donated to our school. We chose a selection of poetry books which will help embed a love of reading for our children.”
Will Phair, sales director, Barratt Homes Cambridgeshire, said:”“As a leading developer, it is really important that we support the community in the areas in which we build.
“Heartwood Primary is working hard to support its pupils in and out of the education environment, and we are happy to support them with the development of their reading skills and confidence.”
