A 'drum-a-thon' symbolised Children in Need Day at Nelson Academy, Downham, as children and staff raised funds.
Everyone was involved with cardio drumming all day outdoors in the playground having been inspired by by Owain Evans, journalist and presenter, from BBC Breakfast.
Principal Sarah Wilson said: "Each class has been given a slot of time throughout the day to take over the drum sticks, under the guidance of the PE percussionists."
Dressed in fancy dress and bright yellow Pudsey T-shirts the children took their drum sticks to giant exercise balls in yellow buckets.
