Racist rant on Facebook lands King's Lynn resident in court

A man from Lynn has narrowly escaped jail after posting an Islamophobic message online a day after a terror attack on mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, which killed 51 people.

Polish national Wojciech Kichard wrote on Facebook that Birmingham felt like Pakistan and he would want “a big magazine or grenades” if he had to work there.

The foul-mouthed rant, accompanied by smiley emojis, was in reply to a Facebook friend in a forum which discussed car parts, Lynn Magistrates’ Court was told on Thursday.
