Walpole St Andrew’s Remembrance event marked a last act of duty for Royal Navy serviceman Stefan Dolby before retirement

A village’s Remembrance event marked a significant milestone for one Royal Navy serviceman.

Residents stood at Walpole St Andrew’s War Memorial on Sunday as 41-year-old Stefan Dolby placed the wreath for the last time.

He announced that he would be retiring next week after more than two decades and the event was his final act of duty.

A church service was held later the same day.
