Royal Navy serviceman Stefan Dolby and his able assistant Daniel placed the Parish Council wreath on the war memorial in Walpole St Andrew’s churchyard on Sunday.
The Church itself is redundant so a memorial service was held at Walpole St Peter’s church, where the West Norfolk Council wreath was laid.
Two minutes’ silence was observed at 11am.
Hot drinks were served in the church, which was decorated with paper poppy wreaths made to depict the year groups and after school club at the Anthony Curton School, which serves both villages.
