Around 250 exhibits were displayed at Clenchwarton’s annual horticultural show at the weekend.

The event, which was first held in 1984, was staged at the village’s school on Saturday afternoon.

Trophies were presented by the school’s headteacher, Jo Borley, to the following winners:

Chrysanthemums: Eric Petts; Dahlias: Jenny Brown; Fuchsias: Pat Duhig, Geraniums: Eric Petts; Begonias: Trevor Coates; Roses: David Foster; Mixed flowers and plants: Pat Duhig.

Fruit: Jenny Brown; Vegetables: Jenny Brown & Trevor Coates; Floral art: David Foster; Outstanding floral art exhibit: David Foster.

Cookery: Amanda Follen; Preserves: Pat Duhig; Wine: Marc Loades; Art and crafts: Lisa Rogers; Photography: Carol Hale; Most outstanding photograph: Pat Duhig.
