Resurfacing and drainage repairs set for Swaffham car park
Breckland Council has said resurfacing and drainage work will commence on a car park in the centre of Swaffham this month.
Work will commence on, or shortly after Tuesday, March 26, which will include a complete re-surfacing of the car park.
Repairs and improvements to the existing surface water drainage as well as a relining of all bays and road marking will also form part of the work.
The work will be carried out in three consecutive phases to allow limited use of certain areas of the car park during the contract period.
Phase one work will be taking place at the rear of the car park, followed by Phase two and three which will be taking place on the front left and right of the car park.
There will be no access between the Paddocks and Theatre Street across the car park for this period.
Subject to weather conditions, the work is expected to be fully completed over a period of six weeks.
It is envisaged all works will be carried out during normal working hours.
All other Breckland car parks in Swaffham will remain open as usual during the period.
