Christmas and New Year refuse and recycling arrangements for West Norfolk have been announced.
West Norfolk Council is delivering bin hangers outlining the revised dates this week.
Collections will change from Christmas Day until Saturday, January 17.
Routes due to be picked up on Christmas Day and Boxing Day will be put back to Monday and Tuesday, December 29 and 30. Normal collection dates between Monday, December 29 and Friday, January 2, will be held between Wednesday, December 31 and Tuesday, January 6, including the Saturday.
The pattern for alternate green and black bin collections remains unchanged,
Bins should be presented for emptying by 7am on collection day.
If your bin has not been emptied on your revised collection day, contact the council by noon the next day.
Brian Long, cabinet member for the Environment, said residents will be able to recycle more this year, including cards, clean foil and trays along with glass bottles and cans.
He said: “We know this might mean that people have more recycling waste than they can fit in their bin over the festive period. We would advise people to store it in a dry place until their bin has been emptied and then just feed it into the next collection.”
Additional black bin waste can be collected if it is placed in a black sack sealed with a red tag, which can be purchased from council offices for £1.50.
