Garden rewilding cash boost for Marham Village Pre-School

Marham Village Pre-School is celebrating its 50th anniversary by rewilding the front garden to create an active learning space and wildlife haven.

The pre-school received a boost to the project when countryside charity CPRE Norfolk trustees Sandra Walmsley and Dr Pallavi Devulapalli presented them with a cheque for £2,000.

The revitalised outside space will enhance the children’s learning of the world around them and encourage wildlife and bio-diversity. They are already learning about growing vegetables and nurturing nature.

Pre-school manager Julie Walkey said: “The £2,000 will make a massive difference and we can’t wait to get started. It will be great to get the front garden looking nice this year as it will be our 50th anniversary.”

Dr Devulapalli added: “Sandra and I were delighted to visit the school and listen to the ideas of the staff and their plans for the grant money.”

Anyone who is able to donate plants, or volunteer their time or expertise is welcome to do so by calling Julie Walkey on 07950 753877 or emailing marhamvillagepreschool@hotmail.com
