Two people and a dog were rescued after being cut off on tidal marshes as night fell this week.

Two people and a dog were picked up by the crew and taken to Thornham Harbour, where they were handed over to HM Coastguard.

Both people were described as uninjured but cold.

The hovercraft then returned to its station, where it was washed down, refuelled and prepared for service.
