LEARN MORETwo women, two children and a dog, were rescued by the RNLI lifeboat crew based at Hunstanton yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
The lifeboat station's hovercraft was dispatched to Scolt Head Island, Brancaster, after the alert was raised by UK Coastguard.
The party had been cut off by the rising tide. They were picked up and safely returned to the beach into the care of the local coastguard response team.
The RNLI always advise those venturing out at the coast to check the weather and tide times and read information signs.
