East Walton road closure will allow for Baulk Bridge repairs

A village road will be closed in order for important bridge repairs to be carried out.

Narford Lane in East Walton will be closed for repairs on Baulk Bridge from Monday, May 5 until Friday, May 16.

The work will involve repairs to both the upstream and downstream wing walls.

“For this work a full road closure is required to maintain a safe working area for our subcontractors,” a Norfolk County Council spokesperson said.

“A signed diversion route will be in place for the duration of the closure with pedestrian access being maintained at all times.

“The county council thanks people for their patience while this repair work is carried out.”

The work, which will cost £10,000, will be carried out by the council’s infrastructure department and its contractors.
