Roads and home hit by floods after morning storms in Norfolk

Heavy rain has brought flooding problems to parts of West Norfolk and surrounding areas this morning.

Drivers are being urged to take care on the A149 Queen Elizabeth Way in Lynn because of flooding near the Hospital Roundabout.

The issue was first reported shortly after 5am today, according to AA Roadwatch.

There have also been reports of rain affecting the A10 to the south of Downham.

Elsewhere, fire service personnel were sent to a property in Northfield Road, Swaffham shortly before 6am to investigate reports of flooding.

The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said advice was given to the occupants of the property.

A yellow Met Office weather warning for thunderstorms was issued yesterday and remains in place until noon today.
