Roadworks planned for A17 at Terrington St Clement this weekend
Roadworks are set to close the westbound A17 at Terrington St Clement on Sunday, Norfolk County Council has announced.
Resurfacing works will be undertaken between the Station Road and Market Lane junctions from around 4am and are expected to take most of the day.
A diversion will be in place via the A47 and A1101, before drivers rejoin the A17 at Long Sutton.
The project is part of a £10.4 million road surface dressing programme which is being undertaken over the summer to repair more than 300 miles of the county's roads.
Highways officials say the work has been scheduled in order to minimise disruption and should be finished by Sunday evening.
However, if the repairs do overrun, they may cause disruption for motorcycling fans making their way home after attending the British Superbike Championship meeting at Snetterton, as the A17 is one of the main routes for spectators heading towards the Midlands and the north.
