Will it be another sunshine spectacular on Sunday, when Lynn Lions Club host their ever-popular Annual Fun Day at Lynn Walks?
Club officials certainly hope so and are keeping fingers crossed that the weather will be fine – just as it was last year when the event attracted a record crowd.
Paul Southerton, the activities chairman, said: “It’s a great fun day, so come along with your family for free entertainment all afternoon.
“We have arranged a full and varied programme of entertainment in the main ring, with something for everyone.
“The only costs involved will come if you want to have some rides at the fun fair or at the stalls.
“This is our 17th year with the Fun Day and we know that the many charity groups like to get involved as it is a chance for them to meet the local community.”
John Groom, the Lions secretary and the event’s logistics coordinator, added: “We have been working on this since February. It’s all in place and now we just want the good weather to tempt people out.”
There will be a civic opening by the borough mayor, Colin Manning, following a parade along the Broad Walk, starting opposite the town library at noon.
