Members of the Hunstanton and District Round Table have helped Burnham Market Primary School pupils to enjoy the sound of music inside and out.

A £500 gift has enabled the school to buy three outdoor instruments - Eco-Bongos, chimes and a rain wheel.

Headteacher Rachel Strougler, pictured back right with Round Table members and pupils, said: “The children absolutely love them.”

Round Table members visited the school last Friday to see their donation for themselves.

Their events officer Kevin Waddison, a former pupil of the school along with his brother Gary, said they had been asked to get involved by the Friends of Burnham School (FOBS) group.

He said: “We serve Hunstanton and the local community and are always open to charity requests from people of all ages.”

FOBS chairman Milly Cary, back left, said they are now trying to raise money for three more instruments, which cost between £600 and £1,500 each.

They will be holding a bingo evening at the school next Friday, March 17, for the cause.
