Royal couples 'will spend Christmas at Sandringham'
Families of RAF Marham personnel were given an early Christmas present this week, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted a festive party at Kensington Palace.
It came in the same week in which national reports said the pair ‘will spend Christmas at Sandringham’, following speculation they might instead spend it with the Middleton family in Berkshire.
It was after national tabloids printed rumours of a “strained” relationship between the Duchess of Sussex and Kate.
The reports claimed Prince William and Kate might spend Christmas elsewhere, while Prince Harry and Meghan would be at the Queen’s residence on the Norfolk estate with other members of the Royal family.
Every Christmas thousands of people descend on to the estate to catch a glimpse of the royal party at the St Mary Magdalene Church.
Meghan was in attendance at Sandringham for the first time last year, following the announcement of her engagement to Prince Harry a month before.
This will be the first year that she and Prince Harry will attend Sandringham as a married couple, with their new titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
News of Meghan’s pregnancy was announced by Kensington Palace in October, with the baby due in spring.
